I've been using this to back up my Mac for about six months and have never had a problem. It's ready to go seconds after I plug it into the computer, and the 800 Fire Wire is lightning fast - backups are complete in a matter of minutes. I've also experimented using it as a regular drive to store documents, photos etc., and the performance was great. If you're looking for something cheaper than AirPort, look no further! -- Excellent product

With really high speeds of firewire 800, multiple interface facility and a three-year warranty, I find model 34629 to be a great buy. I have a Mac for which this gels quite smooth. Pricing is also on a better range. More quiter than most other hard drives. -- Quieter than most others, @ gud price!
