It didn't come with instructions, so I had to call customer service to figure out how to set it up w/ a mac -- Good, fast drive...but--

This drive is being used to hold the media for our HTP. It is doing a great job for this, lots of space, speed is fine, and since it is USB 2.0, setup consists of plugging it into an outlet and the PC. -- Great media drive

I was looking for a backup drive for my Mac to use with Time Machine. I read a lot of reviews of different brands and decided on the Western Digital. I've had it for a month now and it has been perfect. It was easy to set up and easy to use. I have it sitting on my desk behind my iMac and I don't notice any obnoxious sounds or flashing lights. I ordered this product because i needed to back up my Hard drive before updating to Windows 7. When i was selecting this product. It was suggested that i buy a cable buy the system. Since it was only a couple of dollars i added it without looking to closly. The cable suggested was a HDMI video cable which was no use for the Hard drive i was ordering. Otherwise this was a very good purchace for me. -- Poor suggestion.....
