The 8TB G-SPEED eS eSATA RAID from G-Technology delivers a fail-safe storage solution for your mission-critical applications. As configured, the array offers an impressive 8TB of storage spread across 4 physical drives. When used with the optional eSATA RAID controller card, the array allows you to work with single-stream 8-bit 1080/60i video in RAID 0 mode. Multiple units can be controlled by the same card -- using two G-SPEED eS arrays in RAID 5 supports a 10-bit 1080i workflow. Performance and storage increase as you connect more units to the card: connect 4 units for up to 32TB of storage and an amazing 600MB/sec throughput. The optional controller card installs in a PCI Express x4 slot. It supports hardware RAID 0, 1, 5, 10 and JBOD. The G-SPEED eS can also be configured as a software RAID or JBOD when used with a 3rd-party port multiplier aware eSATA host adapter.You can configure the array via an integrated web-based GUI, accessible via any Internet browser. It allows you to configure RAID settings and monitor status. The GUI displays power supply voltage, fan speed and the unit's internal temperature.
